Clouds

I love the clouds,

set so high, so free, so proud.

they call to me beyond the crowds,

a place where I could float and fly aloud.

Their whites like cotton candy spun,

soft as dreams beneath the sun.

Up here, the world’s undone,

no rot, no rush just skies that run.

I’d leap from bubble to bubble in the sky,

stretch my arms, let my heart fly high.

Wash away the pain, the sigh,

feel like a child with a brand new toy to try.

Oh, how pretty it all appears from here,

a whispered world beyond the sphere.
